Thus, Monday ended another Volleyball season. It's in the books, and finished. We pulled off 3 
wins, 7 losses. But, the bright side of this rainbow is we push for 3 hits (bump-set-spike) instead of a one-hit chuck over the net. Those don't make anybody better. Sure, we might have one another game or two, but in the end, there are no trophies in 7th grade. It's about getting better and becoming ready for that next level...(I keep telling myself this.)
Next season: Thursday - 7th Grade Boys Basketball! No rest for the weary.

This is the first season I didn't hear you say "it's all in the coaching";)
You are so right. Sometimes we tend to lose perspective when it comes to sports. I know your girls had a great season. Today at the end of 7th period they were feeling kind of sad that they didn't have volleyball practice. Even though their record may not indicate it, they had a winning season!
Thanks for giving Jen the opportunity to be manager. It was a great fall for her and she developed friendships with some awfully nice girls!
Ok...first of all...thanks for the blog invite.....jerk! :) Second of all...is this post a TOTAL excuse for a losing season? A coach I know once said...ITS ALL ABOUT COACHING. Hmmm...I'll have to try to remember who said that.
